Abstract
Purpose :We researched the existing models and methods for predicting drugs in human milk and intended to apply to herb-medication in breastfeeding.

Methods :We used PubMed in web database for information retrieval. We searched for Breast milk & drug, Human milk & drug, Breastfeeding & drug and Milk to plasma ratio since 2000 years. Publication type was limited to review paper. In result, 5 papers were selected finally and 9 reference papers of this 5 papers were added. We studied total 14 papers and considered the possibility of application in herb-medication.

Results :The study shows the following three models. In vitro models, there are Equilibrium dialysis method, Diffusional method and Cellular model. In vivo models, there are Animal model and Human model. In Predictive regression model, there are Membrane diffusional model, Phase distribution model and Structural model.

Conclusion :Herb-medication is consisted of complex component. So, effective index component must be selected and analyzed quantitatively. Then, it is desired that Human model is choosed for predicting herb-medication in breastfeeding.
